About the Society
RADAS is for people who love art, who enjoy discovering more about art and who want to be involved in various creative and exciting activities and projects throughout the year.
We include a wide range of creative disciplines within the society, and welcome artists of all standards.
Due to the current ‘lockdown’ situation all our meetings have been cancelled until further notice.
The picture above is the mural on the side of Tesco in Rickmansworth visible rom the canal. Each year it gets replaced . This year’s theme – you guessed! – plates – Art on a Plate!

Ricky Art holds an annual Spring exhibition in May and an Autumn Exhibition to coincide with Rickmansworth Winter Fair.
Our website gallery allows members to advertise their work on the internet. Visit this section to find out more.
Should you be interested in purchasing one, or commissioning one of our artists to paint something particular please email us and we will put you in touch with the artist concerned. Our email is Rickmansworthart@gmail.com or use the contact form below.
We would like members to produce a painting each month during January, February and March. The theme is “ the local area” so you can interpret that in a variety of ways, including a view through your window if you are self isolating. You can submit more than one painting each month if you wish. All members who participate each month will have their names put in a hat for the chance of a gift voucher prize! We thought that it would be lovely to include the entries on our website so that other members and your friends and family can view them also. Please submit your entries to Morag and she will do her magic and create a section on the website for them. Her email is email@example.com
Details of how to take quality photographs of your work can be found on You tube artworkarchive.com/blog/4-steps-to-photographing-your-art
like-a-professional . Please beware of copyright restrictions if you are using images from other people and give due acknowledgement to the original source. In addition, we thought that members might like to make use of the Radas Facebook page to share with a wider audience. You can find that on Facebook with the name Rickyart. (there is another site with the full name Rickmansworth and District Art Society which is no longer used). It is a site that the public can see but only members of the group can post on it. You can request to be added to the group.
We hope you will enjoy participating in this challenge and also enjoy looking at each other’s artwork on the website. Hopefully we will eventually see these works “in the flesh” at our next RADAS exhibition- whenever that may be.
