Workshops

There will be three workshops for members of the society this summer. All in the Cloisters Hall. Changes and necessary materials will be added here so do check back from time to time.

Saturday June 23rd Carole Massey –  watercolour pencils

The workshop will start with  a demonstration, running through techniques, followed by some exercises (trees, skies, textures, simple still life objects) to put those techniques into practice, or the members could go straight into a subject of their choice. The day will finish with a group appraisal. A suggested list of materials will be available well in advance.  Alternatively the subject for the day could be tailored to the  requirements of those attending – e.g.specifically on portraits, figures, still life etc.

Figures and sunlight in an urban setting.
Working from own images (or using those provided by Joel) of people in strong sunlight with interesting body language.

So far as I know these workshops are for all levels of ability so even if you have never worked in one of these media before this is a chance to try something new. By clicking on the links to the three artists websites you can see what you might expect.

If you want to join in one or all of the workshops please email Rickmansworthart@gmail.com . The costs will depend on how many people sign up but are expected to be approximately what I have set out above.
