Impressionist watercolour (and acrylic ink)
Elizabeth works out all her paintings in a sketchbook working out the composition and colour palette. She uses a ceramic palette and synthetic brushes for the acrylic ink, always stretches her paper and tends to use Bockingford paper or mixed media paper. For skies she uses Holbein grey of greys and peach as well as indigo.
A tip for stretching paper after the painting is complete is to put it face down on a towel and wet the back, then tape down to dry flat! (one hopes!)
